I've had the pleasure of doing Jodie's yoga classes over the last 4 years, as well as having a reiki session with her too, and can't recommend it enough! I started as a total beginner, complete with nerves and reservations about my ability but Jodie's teaching is clear, reassuring and offers many adaptations and modifications for all bodies and skill. Even on days when I don't feel great, turning up to class and enjoying the relaxation at the start and end with some gentle stretching in the middle (not every week has to be your best or strongest or most advanced) leaves me feeling better. Give it a go!!
I really enjoy Jodie's yoga classes, I have limited mobility and can't get up and down off the mat easily, but Jodie has supported me with modifications, a chair, and other props and I'm able to do most of the class content, and just modify with poses that aren't accessible for my knees and hips.
Everyone has noticed a good increase in my mobility since joining and I think the key is being consistent, showing up each week. Even when I'm too sore or in a crap headspace, I always feel better after class, and am glad I made the effort.
If you're thinking about joining class but feel too disabled like me, then I highly encourage having a conversation with Jodie, because you'll be pleasantly surprised by what you can achieve in Jodie's classes.

Jodie provides a warm welcome and relaxing environment with a focus on working to your capacity always ready with achievable modifications or gently challenging with an extension. Always leave energised and relaxed.

Jodie’s Mums and Bubs classes are great and I would recommended them to any mum thinking about doing them. I was a little anxious initially as I had lost a lot of core strength since having my wee girl but Jodie’s kind caring nature put me at ease. The classes are tailored to support mums postpartum which was great cause that was exactly what I needed. I feel my core strength has improved so much over the last 6 weeks and will definitely be signing up for more classes.
My wee girl loves joining mum at yoga and seeing all her wee friends each week. The babies and toddlers did well entertaining themselves and it all seemed to work, Happy Mum and Bub.
Reiki in the healing hands of Jodie has restored my equilibrium while helping me feel grounded, empowered, connected and relaxed. Her insights are spot on and I feel safe in her care.
I came to Jodie while going through a terrifying time in my life. I was frazzled, scared and unsure of myself and the world around me.
Suicide seemed like a viable option.
Luckily I chose to invest in myself and with the help of my GP, these treatments are MSD approved as part of my disability allowance for C-PTSD.
This is my 3rd block of yoga with Jodie and I am definately coming back for a 4th! These sessions are the highlight of my week. Jodie is such an amazing teacher and so encouraging. This class is definately an investment in "me time". And those temple massages....BLISS
I have had two reiki sessions with Jodie The first, a couple of months ago had me experience a feeling of deep relaxation on the table, the most notable physical feeling was a dull ache when Jodie had her hands on what I was later to discover was my root chakra. Jodie did a lot of work to get the energy moving in that area. After reiki I felt the tiredest I have ever felt in my life but the next few days I felt the most energised I had in weeks/months.
Second session was completely different, I didn’t relax as much and I could tell I wasn’t going to at the start as my mind was distracted. However this turned out to be a truely amazing experience and I felt like I had a grin on my face while lying on the bed. Jodie would have her hand somewhere on my body and just before she moved it to the next place it felt like electrical energy would roll through my body like a slow ocean wave. At one stage she had one hand on my lower back and one on my head, and a pleasant pulsing sensation came out of the soles of both feet, a bit like the pulsing of an open wound but softer more pleasant feeling. Then there was a ball of energy in my hand and wrist that travelled up my arm. Near the end when she took her hands off me and I lay on the table I could feel every single cell of my body as an individual spinning ball, spinning so fast with so much energy that I felt if I moved a muscle I would fling up off the table. I didn’t leave that session tired but by bedtime I was exhausted. With more energy again the next day.
The whole experience was amazing, they say every experience is different, and so far my two were completely different to each other but both left me feeling incredible. Jodie is the real deal! There was also flows of amazing thoughts that came and went too, I have just described my physical sensations. I can’t wait for my next session, I’m hooked!
Hi. I had lost my mum 7 months ago and I wasn’t coping with it very well. I seen Jodie up the street one day, and she said what about doing a Reiki session with me. I did it and it was amazing. I have had massages before trying to relax but this is so different you really do relax.
It took away some sad feelings and helped me with the happy ones. I’m feeling a lot better. I would recommend this to everyone. Life does get hard sometimes and we need to take some time out for yourself this is a good way to do that. Try it you will love it.
I have been to Jodie a few times now for Reiki and it is such a relaxing experience. I always walk away feeling great. I would highly recommend!
My Reiki session with Jodie was an experience that left me feeling energized and raised further self-awareness. Jodie has a beautiful and grounded vibe to her, with a caring, kind, considerate manner when relaying information back, she really connects with you. Hi Jodie, just wanted to say a big thank you for doing yoga at brownies last night. My daughter has been having real trouble sleeping for months and had the best night sleep after your session. Apparently she was practicing tree pose before bed! Will be doing yoga with her from now on.
I have had lower back pain for over a year (literally just woke up with it) and it was especially hard to get in a comfy position to sleep at night with the pain being at its worst plus I would wake up every night. I had been to the doctor and Osteo with no improvement.
I have been going to Jodie's yoga class for 4 sessions so far and WOW what a difference it has made. I rarely get back pain in the day and I do not feel my back at night as much and can get comfy. I am sleeping nearly right through the night and I can feel my back 'loosening' up when I move.
Jodie's yoga is relaxing and non threatening (go at your own pace). It is a great place to take some time out from the busyness of a teacher’s life and help my back (and body) feel amazing from the different stretches.

I started Jodie's yoga classes, last year, while going a very stressful time in my life.
After 2 blocks of 8 classes, was unsure if it was doing much but decided that as a minimum, it was an hour every week, just for me, where I could take time out, completely relax and clear the mind.
During the 3rd block of 8 classes, I became aware of the benefits to my body and mind - especially the mind. I now believe that I have a calmer more even mind and attitude in my daily life.
I managed a personal 'once in a lifetime' achievement, earlier this year, winning a NZ Golf gold medal for winning all my matches in a tournament. When I hit a bad shot or when the matches were tight,
I was able to stay calm and 'in the moment' and even used some yoga breathing techniques to calm the nerves.
I am convinced yoga gave me additional skills to achieve my success.
Yoga is now addictive for me and can totally recommend Jodie's classes.
Rest & Relax Yoga is beyond amazing.
Jodie is such a lovely and down to earth lady who makes you feel super welcome at her classes and guides you through each class with ease.
I will be going back for more classes with her soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone.

I absolutely love Mums and Bubs yoga! This is the first time I have done yoga so was a bit nervous but Jodie is so good at explaining and demonstrating poses to ensure we get the best out of it. It is so cool being able to take along Lochy with me and love our lunch and swimming dates afterwards.
Fully recommend to any Mums in the area with wee bubbas, very interactive and fun x
Rest & Relax Yoga has to date been the best yoga class I have had the pleasure of attending. I was a yoga beginner at the time and now practice yoga on a weekly basis. Jodie's sequences are always well thought out which shows she is passionate.
Jodie has a deep understanding of the physical body and when I first started I was sporting a lower back injury. Jodie gave me great alternative poses to suit my body so I didn't feel I couldn't do something.
Jodie's voice is so calming and I have not found a yoga instructor that quite matches her abilities. For myself, having attended Rest & Relax yoga I feel stronger, more mindful and aware of my inner-self and have a deeper spiritual connection. Jodie taught me the importance of 'just being'.

I met Jodie through work and then yoga. It was through yoga that I discovered how passionate Jodie is about inner balance and wellbeing – of our minds, body and soul. Attending Jodie’s yoga classes has given me insight into finding stillness that I so often forget about in my hectic schedule.
Her technique is malleable, as are her yoga moves, making her adapted classes well suited to beginners through to advanced yogis. If I feel unbalanced, by attending one of Jodie’s classes I feel re-aligned. She is a wonderful instructor and always brings good energy to her sessions.
I'm really enjoying Jodie's classes, she takes us through a good range of stretches and breathing and relaxation and is able to cater for beginners through to intermediate. She brings different stretches to each class so it's nice to mix it up. Jodie is very friendly and approachable.

After living in constant pain, which affected both my physical and emotional well being, yoga has given me a new lease of life. I have been to two of Jodie’s classes now. I have loved it so much I have signed up for the next 8 week programme. Jodie has a lovely manner and provides for a very calming and welcoming environment. I totally recommend her classes.
I did the partners class tonight with a friend and it was fantastic! Jodie was really great at explaining each move and a relaxing voice. Doing the poses with a partner really made for a great stretch. Highly recommend.

Wednesday night yoga is such a nice way to relax. You are guaranteed to sleep well on a Wednesday night! Not stressful at all, do as little or as much as you like in a comfortable environment with people who are there for the same reason as you ... to relax and enjoy yourself.

Really look forward to my yoga class. Jodie knows her stuff and it’s a class I get a lot out of. Doesn’t matter what level you are you have the option of working at your own level. Nice to have different stretches each week. Love it.
Highlight of my week! As a busy working Mum, I look forward to my Wednesday me time with Jodie at yoga. You can push yourself as little or much as you want and I always feel great when I leave. And I sleep like a log that night too which is a bonus! Thanks Jodie.
Jodie is a fantastic yoga instructor. Even if you have some sort of health restriction you can do these classes, and no one ever makes you feel like you shouldn't be there. You work at your own pace and ability and feel fabulous at the end of each class, can't recommend Jodie enough.
Jodie is totally amazing, I always leave her classes feeling so relaxed and like I’ve had a good stretch. I would recommend her yoga to anyone and everyone.
Had my very first Yoga class last night with Jodie... wow! I left the class extremely relaxed and grounded which resulted in one of the best sleeps I have had in months. Jodie was great at letting people how to adapt poses to suit their level. Cannot wait until next week!

I did 8 weeks of yoga which I didn't think I would, and am so proud of myself for that. Thanks Jodie for your positive caring attitude and emails. Yoga can be challenging but do as much as your body allows. I always feel great after a Wednesday relaxed and mentally chilled. Also met with lovely ladies. Big hugs Jodie.
